Acteur & clown
Fatus has been teaching for about ten years.
He has created an internship cursus based on the
diversity of his influences. His instruction is based
on collective creation and improv.
He uses the intern's own personality as his primary source,
with the aim of developing reflexes and creative independence.
A playful study of his own culture and daily corporeal engagement
gives him the ability to quickly express himself in a comic
or poetic universal language. Through the teaching of mime,
the arts of the circus, an introduction to the writing of a vaudeville
number, the essential rules of an actor's craft, his teaching
vacillates between analysis and practice. It helps the intern write out
his own inventions, step by step constructing and staging a show,
a collective and original work performed for a live audience.
Pierre Fatus has worked for the French Department of Education,
L’Ecole Normale Supérieure, and many cultural or private institutions,
among them, since 1996, the CNFA.
